I decided that before I disappeared on my voyage of discovery both of myself and this wonderful planet, I would like to visit certain people who have been very important in my life.
I started in Wales, in a small town called Pontprennau - just outside Cardiff. Mike & Carys have been friends for +15 years now and have got me thru good times and bad. Mike with his great sense of humour and ability to talk sense into me whether I liked it or not!!! And all the time he had far greater problems than my trifling ones but alays had time to chat and advise... thanks Mike, you have been a great friend.
Next it was onto Elgin in Scotland to visit The Godfather/my uncle Peter, Shirley & Nicola amongst others. 99% of my happiest children memories revolve around holidays in Elgin. I have neglected them over the years but wanted to visit my spiritual home and family to say thanks for everything whilst I was growing up and since..... I had forgotten what a fantastically beautiful part of the world The Highlands are and my weekend up there was a reminder to me of what I have missed for far too long.
And finally Hungary and the lovely Julia.......... we have only been cyber buddies since July but have become good friends and as I had never been to Eastern Europe before, I decided a weekend in Budapest would be fun. I was not disappointed and Julia and I got on better than expected!!!!!!!!!!
Finally a farewell night out with my (ex) colleagues from the ONS. I was amazed 18 arrived and was grateful as they made it a fun night for me and was a nice way to say adios/hasta la vista to some great characters who will not be forgotten.
Have since left Southampton and am staying with my little sister, her 3 gorgeous kids and ever so laid back hubby - having to put up with us lot, he really does need to be laid back!!!!! 11 days in London then off into the wide blue yonder.......... the anticipation is killing me but I am within touching distance of Heathrow now and an adventure to beat all adventures :))))
